Roger Moore

February 23, 1944 — March 20, 2017

Roger E. Moore was born February 23, 1944 in Bridgeport, CT and grew up in Trumbull, CT. He was a member of the ROTC and attended University of CT and University of Rochester where he earned a Master's in Chemical Engineering. He met Elisabeth in 1969 and they married in 1970. They lived in several states before settling in Grand Junction and founded STTI.
He believed in putting others first; his family and community. He volunteered with Redlands Rotary, twice as president, the Salvation Army, and the Girl Scouts board. He always enjoyed exploring whether as a boy down by the creek, traveling with his wife and family, or on the ATV he bought to celebrate his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, photography, and good times with friends. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughters Castley, Sophie, and Cayleigh.
He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Moore, daughters, Catharine (William) Cook of Reno, NV and Brittany Moore of Denver, CO, brother, Robert (Diane) Moore of Durham, CO, sister, Pamela Moore of Woodstock, CT, and granddaughters, Castley and Sophie Cook of Reno, NV and Cayleigh Cook of Temecula, CA. He will be missed by all those who have had the honor to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 24th from 4-7 pm at Bookcliff Country Club. The family requests donations be made to Salvation Army, Hospice, or Roice-Hurst Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
