It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald D. Kuhn, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on August 20, 2024, in Grand Junction, CO. Born on June 3, 1951, in Atwood, Kansas, Ronald lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication.
Ronald was the cherished son of Darrel Kuhn and Janice Kuhn, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and integrity. He spent his entire professional career as a concrete finisher, a trade he held with pride and commitment. His hands helped build many structures that will stand as a testament to his diligence and skill.
From 1969 to 1973, Ronald honorably served his country in the United States Navy. His military service was a source of great pride for him and his family, and it undoubtedly shaped the man he became—one characterized by loyalty, honor, and a strong sense of duty.
After his service, Ronald lived a life filled with joyous moments and meaningful relationships. He loved riding motorcycles, a hobby that gave him a sense of freedom and adventure. He was happiest when surrounded by friends and family, sharing stories and laughter.
Ronald's sense of humor was legendary, always able to bring a smile to those around him. He was a wonderful person to be around, known for his caring and gentle soul. His heart was especially full of love for his grandchildren, whom he adored and cherished deeply. They were his pride and joy, and he spent countless hours creating lasting memories with them.
He is survived by his loving children, Justin Kuhn and Jesse Kuhn, who will continue to carry forward his legacy. He also leaves behind his sister, Penny Sanders, his brother, Darrel Kuhn, and five treasured grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Darrel Kuhn and Janice Kuhn.
The family will hold a funeral service to honor Ronald's memory on October 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Details on the service location will be shared with friends and family in due course.
Ronald D. Kuhn was a beacon of light in the lives of many, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He touched our lives in ways that words can hardly express, and while we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he led.
