In Loving Memory of Ronald A. Powers
September 14, 1952 – April 8, 2025
Ronald A. Powers passed away on April 8, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado, at the age of 72. Born on September 14, 1952, in Pueblo, Colorado, Ron was the beloved middle son of Robert and Elsie Powers and grew up alongside his brothers, Robert and Douglas.
Ron called many places on Colorado’s Western Slope home. Grand Junction, Aspen, Basalt, and the roads in between. A true free spirit, Ron had a love for travel, a passion for building, and a talent for fixing just about anything. He began his career under the hood, owning his own auto detail shop, and later channeled his skills into construction, working independently through his business, RP Carpentry.
Beyond his work, Ron’s heart belonged to multiple things including a recent love for the game of golf, but most of all, to his dogs. His Dobermans weren’t just pets; they were constant companions and trusted shadows, always by his side and always unleashed. Their bond was unmistakable and a true reflection of his loyalty and independence.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Douglas. He is survived by his brother Robert Powers; niece Casey Conley; nephews Thomas Powers and Shane Powers; and a lifetime of memories shared with those he loved.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado, where friends and family will gather to honor the legacy of a man who lived boldly and left an unforgettable mark.
