Ronald Sanders

Ronald Lewis Sanders passed away on October 12th 2021 surrounded by his family. He was 82. He was born October 20th 1938 in Murray Utah. Ronald was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served as an airman Second Class. After he served in the Air Force he met and married his first wife Cheryl Dickerson and had 3 children (Todd, Kerrie, Kelly). They later parted ways. He then met and married his second wife Candace Sanders in 1974 and had 2 children (Camilla and Casey). Ronald worked as a truck driver and mechanic for the town of Avon Beaver Creek transit for most of his years. He retired in 2007, when he then moved to Grand Junction to be closer to his son Casey.

In Ronald’s younger years he was an elder in the Mormon Church in which he did a mission to Germany.

Ronald loved to go fishing, camping and hunting as well as spend time with family and friends. He was outgoing, friendly and even on your worst day could  make you laugh. Ronald was very hard working and loved his grandkids. Ronald was preceded in death by his father Lewis Wayne Sanders, mother Vivian Ruth Sanders, daughter Camilla Sanders and sister Caroline Sanders. Ronald is survived by his wife Candace Sanders, Son Todd(Valerie) Sanders, Daughter Kerrie(Todd) Skyes, Son Kelly Sanders, Son Casey(Michelle) Sanders, Brother Dave(Bonnie)Sanders, sister Jackie Scott and numerous nieces, nephews, grand kids and great grandkids

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, November 2nd 2021 at Browns Cremation and Funeral Services at 11:00am. Burial will be at The Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1:00. Luncheon following burial at The VFW 1404 Ute Ave Grand Junction CO 81501
