Ronald Dale Stanfield passed away October 27th at HopeWest Hospice, Grand Junction, at the age of 65.
He was born in Grand Junction on July, 9 1953, the son of Rose Ellen and Melvin Stanfield. Ron was very talented with his hands and was willing to tackle almost all things mechanical as well as carpentry, and he was always willing to help others if needed. Ron enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, riding his 4-wheelers with his family, and target shooting.
He worked in the tire industry for most of his life, working for various tire outlets in the valley, but he really found a home working with the team at Commercial Tire Service. He was always grateful of the kindness and consideration they showed him in the later stage of his life.
Ron is survived by his wife of 28 years Valerie, daughter Desma Bradfish (Kurt), step sons, Matthew Dible (Sydney), Bradley Dible (Danelle), and Benjamin Dible (Ashley) as well as his siblings, Lavonne Holmes (Lindsay), Mariann Stanfield, Jay Stanfield (Cindy), cousin Don Stanfield (Darlene), and 7 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HopeWest. There will be a service on November 19th at 2 pm at Clifton Christian Church.
