Ronald Weingardt

Ronald Gene Weingardt, age 76, died Wednesday, October 5th, 2016, in Grand Junction, CO, after losing a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born July 26th, 1940, in Sterling, CO, he was the son of Martin J. and Caroline Bauer Weingardt.
Ron graduated from Sterling High School and attended the University of Colorado, Boulder.  He was a true businessman and had been employed in Retail Management for the majority of his career.  He also worked for Franklin Life Insurance, Mutual of Omaha, and Farmers Insurance, where he received numerous sales awards.
Ron was a believer in the power of community and did what he could to improve the lives of those in need whenever possible.
Ron is survived by his children, Mike (Nancy) Weingardt of Commerce City, CO and their son Jake Weingardt of Wray, CO; Laura Jo (Todd) Worthington of New Braunfels, TX and their daughters Stefani Worthington of Baltimore, MD and Christine (David) Vaichus of San Angelo, TX; Marty Weingardt of Glenrock, WY; and Matt Weingardt and his sons Jaxsen and Jonnie Weingardt of Del Rio, TX.  He is also survived by his sisters Janice (David) Hawk of Lafayette, CO and Dianna Haas of Sterling, CO and his sister-in-law Evelyn Weingardt, of Aurora, CO. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother Richard Weingardt.
