Russell Michael Moran, age 63, of Clifton, CO, passed away September 10, 2014 at Hope West Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, CO Born May 20, 1951 in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Francis M. and Ethel M. Vasvary Moran. He made eclectic choices in his livlihood . He and his loving wife, Brenda Gilbreth, have spent wonderful years together. He is also survived by two sister that he adored. Linda Donahue of Middlesex, NJ and Frances Hocli of Edison, New Jersey. He is also survived by his sweet K9 companion, Frankie. He loved sports, hitting a few golf balls, and was an excellent cook, but the hobby he loved best was people. Russell will be missed by so many and will be remembered as a truly outstanding individual. He was extraordinarily kind and compassionate to everyone he came in contact with. He accepted everyone just as they were and treated them with great respect. People who just needed to talk would come to Russell at all hours, and when they did, he would listen intently. Though he didn’t have the credentials, he was a counselor, none the less. Russell had his own struggles, but he responded with tolerant acceptance. No matter what, he remained a kind, loving and generous inspiration to all who knew him.
A celebration of Russell's life will be held Sunday October 19, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Clifton Community Hall, 126 Second Street, Clifton, CO. This pot-luck dinner will be a time of friendship, fellowship and remembrance of Russell. Everyone is encouraged to bring photos and share favorite stories. Additional parking will be available at the family residence.
