Ruth Elizabeth Lujan born April 14th, 1950 went home to be with our Lord on May 13th, 2024.
Ruth was born in Ranchos De Taos, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Joe and Bennie Tafoya. Ruth passed in Grand Junction, Colorado following a battle with a terminal illness.
She loved crafting/crocheting, shopping, bingo, casinos, decorating, occasional traveling, making trips to the Santuario de Chimayo in New Mexico, but most importantly spending as much time with family either with visits or on the phone.
People who knew her would say she was very kindhearted, loving, outgoing, a little jokester, honest, charismatic, fashionable, very knowledgeable, hardworking, a little stubborn, very very strong willed, compassionate, but most importantly very dedicated to her Faith and Family. We will truly miss her beautiful smile, her brightness when she entered a room, her ear that we told all our worries and secrets to, her big heart for all the love and compassion she had for all, and her soft voice giving us words of wisdom and encouragement.
She is proceeded in death by (Father) Joe Tafoya, (Mother) Bennie Tafoya, (Son) Anthony (Sarah) Delgado, (Sister) Berlinda Delgado.She is survived by, (husband) Loreto Lujan, Grand Junction CO, (sons) Mario (Brittany) Delgado, Craig CO, Robert Salazar, Aztec NM, Richard Salazar, NM, Del Salazar, NM, (brother) Steven (Melissa) Tafoya, Parker CO, (sisters) Maria (Chuck) Sanford, Clifton CO, Yolanda Cruz, Craig CO, (grandchildren) Brittany (Chappie) Beyette, Vernal UT, Marcus Delgado, Vernal UT, Dominic Pascetti, Craig CO, Charisma Delgado, Craig CO, Raven Delgado, Somerset CO, (great grandchildren) Caiden and Ember Beyette, Vernal UT, and with two more on the way, many step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great.
A Rosary will be held from 5pm-7pm on May 20th, 2024, at the Brown's Cremation and Funeral Service, 904 N. 7th ST. Grand Junction CO.
A Mass will be held at 1130am on May 21, 2024, at The Immaculate Heart of Mary, 790 26 1/2 RD, Grand Junction CO.
