Ryan Brooks Deppe, age 25, died, August 20th, 2023. Born February 9, 1998, in Grand Junction, CO, he was the son of the Cameron Brooks Deppe and Kimberly (Scott) Ross both of Grand Junction, CO
Ryan graduated from Central High School, Grand Junction, CO in 2016 and also attended Life Academy, Grand Junction, CO for three years prior to that time.
Ryan worked mostly in the construction field in Grand Junction and had been working towards his journeyman's plumbers license.
Ryan was a free spirit and enjoyed so many activities with his family and his friends.
At Life Academy, Ryan played Basketball for the High School Team and earned his letter for this sport two years in a row. While at Life Academy, Ryan excelled in his school studies and was awarded the President's Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement for two years. Ryan was exceptionally skilled in both Math and Science while in school.
Ryan joined his BMX Bicycle Racing Family at the age of 10 and competed here locally as-well-as at the State and National Levels. Ryan loved traveling for the BMX meets with his Dad, his Grandmother, his Aunt Paula, Cousin Morgan and little sister Shelby. Ryan rode both a "Class Bike and a Cruiser Bike" and did well in the competition with both. In spite of, the broken arm that BMX lent him. Ryan continued to race after that experience, until the Driver's License came along!
That was the beginning of the end of his competitive racing, at least BMX Racing, savoring a few spontaneous local races, "just to keep in shape" he would say. Probably should have stayed with the Bicycle, but, that was our Ryan, go, go, go! Ryan joined a local Mountain Bike Team and then moved forward with the local high school Mountain Bike Team. He had the experience of traveling with this sport to races all across Colorado and Utah.
Snowmobiling was his absolute Passion! He started riding, sitting on his Grandmother's lap, strapped to her with a belt when he was less than two years old. The rest is history. He rode with the local Snowskippers Snowmobile Cluband with his Dad, Family and his best friends. Wild and Crazy he was on the machine, but that's what fueled his love and desire to ride the Grand Mesa.
Ryan is survived by: His Dad and Step-Mother, Cameron and Leslie Deppe, his Mother Kimberly (Scott) Ross, his sister Shelby Lyn Deppe of Grand Junction, his sister Alisa Palmer of Bend Oregon, his Brother Chase Patterson of Texas.
