Samuel Luke Ross, age 12, of Durango, Colorado, was born on March 4, 2012, in Grand Junction, Colorado. He passed away on October 24, 2024, leaving a legacy of compassion, friendship, and an infectious joy for life.
Samuel was a spirited young boy who brought warmth and kindness to everyone he met. Known for his boundless energy and love for adventure, he embraced life with enthusiasm, whether riding his bike through the neighborhood or playing soccer with friends. Samuel had a big heart, a natural caregiver to animals, and he found joy in small wonders like catching bugs and eating his favorite snack—carrots. Making friends came easily to him, as he treasured connecting with others and was always ready to share his warm smile and gentle spirit.
He especially cherished the time spent with his grandfather, and his compassionate nature and friendly soul will be deeply missed. Samuel was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Eric Dawson. He is survived by his mother, Sasha Ross; his grandparents, Jerry and Beverly Rider; his aunt, Jennifer Johnson; and his cousin, Eric Davidson.
A memorial service to celebrate Samuel’s life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Jubilee Family Church, located at 483 30 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81504.
