Seferino Joe Apodaca Jr.

December 5, 1971 - July 9, 2021

On Friday, July 9, 2021 Seferino Joe Apodaca Jr left us at the age of 49.  He was a beloved son, father, husband, brother , uncle , grandfather and friend.  He will be greatly missed.  He lived and worked in Grand Junction Colorado where he passed.  Sef was born in Fresno California on December 5, 1971 to Joe and Tina (Valdez) Apodaca.  He was the second of four children.  He was raised in Grand Junction CO.  He married Angela Avila in May of 1990.  They were blessed with 5 children, Nico, Veronica, Domenic, Kimo, and Rachel.  He later married Michelle Hodges in June of 2008.  Sef was Extremely creative, an amazing Chef and had the most wicked sense of humor.  He had such a selflessness about him , he was always the one to drop everything to help anyone no matter what it was. He was our "mr. fix it. "  He enjoyed the outdoors , family & loved his babies more than anything in this world. Sef was preceded in death by his infant son Kimo Apodaca in 1998.  He is survived by his wife Michelle Apodaca, his children Nico Apodaca, Veronica (CJ) Sebeth, Domenic Apodaca, and Rachel Apodaca and stepchildren Brittany Tolson, Elizabeth Hodges, and Savannah Hodges along with grandchildren Tagen, Kohei, Ophelia, Arlo, Adrien, Tianna, Patrick, Riley, Isaac, and Raelynn, his mother Ernestine Soto and siblings Rose (Rocky) Lafferty, Alex (Melissa) Treto, Angelica (Shane) Soto and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of LIfe will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at Long’s Family Memorial Park. The Family requests you wear comfy clothes, bring a dish, lawn chairs & in lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the go fund me account or at the Celebration.
