Shanna Davis

May 10, 1958 — January 30, 2017

Shanna Rae Davis left this earth & crossed the Rescuers Rainbow Bridge on January 28, 2017 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born May 10, 1958 in Grand Junction to Adelbert Morrison & Loda Miracle Morrison.

Shanna graduated from Grand Junction High School & attended Mesa State College.

Shanna had a lengthy career as a Graphic Artist which she truly enjoyed at The Nickel from 1986 to 2014 when her health forced her to resign. She was also an EMT & firefighter for 12 yrs. for several fire departments across the valley. This was always a part of her life even when she was no longer active in it.

Shanna was loving, caring, honest & devoted. Many animals & people benefited from these wonderful qualities of hers during her life. Her passion was rescuing dogs & educating people about the Pit Bull breed which led her to create Grand Valley Pit Crew rescue. She also enjoyed history, antiques, gardening & most of all her wonderful lily ponds!

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 yrs. William “Bill” Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held Saturday February 11, 2017at 1pm at the Church of the Nativity, 2175 Broadway, Grand Junction, CO. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Shanna’s name to Grand Valley Pit Crew, 1288 Gilpin St., Loma, CO 81524 or by paypal to grandvalleypitcrew.com.
