Shirley Buck

May 7, 1948 — July 20, 2017

Shirley Ann Buck - who was a loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and friend - always had time to help those in need, putting everyone else first, passed away in her home on July 20, 2017.  Shirley was born on May 7th, 1948 in Glenwood Springs, CO.  Shirley was a waitress in Glenwood Springs from the time she was 16 until her and her two sons moved from there to Grand Junction in 1980.  She also did a lot of their baking and was famous for her pies, cakes and cinnamon rolls.  People loved to come into the restaurants and visit with Shirley.  Even the "Hells Angels" showed up one time.  They were being rowdy, so she told them to either "sit down and shut up" or they weren't going to get waited on.  They did it and ended up coming back to see her several times.  Shirley was very crafty and made a lot of homemade items that we will cherish forever. She loved gardening and making homemade "peach hob jelly". She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul L. and Dorothy L. Rovedo. She is survived by her brother John (Cheri) Rovedo and sons Tony and Joey, and her sons Mike (Peggy) Worley from Grand Junction and Thomas (Holly) Buck of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by four grand children; Todd, Theya, Atira, Andrew and one great-grand child, Jason.
A memorial service will be held at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Grand Junction Colorado on August 11th at 11 a.m.
