Steven Lampton

Steven Russel Lampton, age 70, passed away on January 11, 2021.

Born to Richard and Virginia Lampton of Cedaredge, CO. , and was born into a very large family.

He married Sharron Strow in 1973. Together they had a daughter  Amy E Lampton “Higgs” now Lucas of Colorado Springs. In 1977, he married Lillian “Lampton” Morrill, they had one son, Eric Lampton of Grand Junction.

Mr. Lampton had three grandsons, Jacob, Coltan, and Wyatt. They were his world. He also cherished his very special friend, Jeff Havens of Fruita, CO.

His Aunt Ester is the matriarch of the family and very special to him.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents and cousin.

Steve is survived by one sister, Diane Warner of ID.

Mr.Lampton was a fruit farmer most of his life, although he could do almost anything.

But most that knew him, knew he was a tinkerer. Steve loved to tell stories all the time, everybody at the hospital knew when they entered the room it was going to be at least 45 minutes before they got out.

Steve loved the outdoors, but his pride was his grandsons and Jeff, or as most know them as his boys.

Services will be held at a later date, potentially in the Spring.

Your heart was ready for Heaven, but ours wasn’t.

Love and miss you Pappa

Wyatt’s fondest memory was him and Pappa watching Bob Ross paint.

Coltan’s fondest memory was with pappa at the school trip to the pumpkin patch in Montrose and playing in the dirt building.

Jacob’s fondest memory all of them and just to be around pappa Lampton.
