Sue Ann Noble

June 6, 1946 — May 30, 2024

Sue was born in Denver, CO to Veldon and Mary Ethel Smith. Sue later moved to LaVeta, CO with her mother and stepfather, John and Mary Ethel Tompkins. Sue graduated LaVeta High School in 1964.

After graduation, she moved to Pueblo to attend business school. She met Robert (Bob) Boynton who was stationed at Fort Carson. They married on Feb. 7, 1965 in LaVeta and then moved to Maine, where their daughter Gail was born. They returned to Colorado, living in LaVeta and Walsenburg, where son Michael was born.

Sue attended Trinidad State Junior College and received her LPN license. Sue and Robert divorced, and she moved to Grand Junction, CO with her children in 1978. She completed her EMT training while working at the Department of Energy. Sue also worked at the Colorado State Veterans Hospital in Grand Junction and Rifle, as well as the Grand Junction Regional Center. After spine surgery in 1992, Sue worked as a live-in hospice nurse.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and eight siblings. Sue is survived by her daughter Gail (Clint) Buniger and grandchildren Kami, Talon and Angelica. Also, by son Michael and his late wife Denice, who died in April, and his son Axl.

Sue befriended and “adopted” a granddaughter Michelle and her children Allen, Matthew and Jason. She also “adopted” her neighbor Natasha and daughter Kayde.

Sue’s family would also like to acknowledge her Dr. Rose Jennings and staff at St. Mary’s hospital. Especially Dr. Spriggs, Dr. Forte, and nurses Michael and Becky in the C.C.U. At Sue’s request, no services are planned.
