Suzanne Marie Liddicoat

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Suzanne Marie Liddicoat who passed away after a long battle against Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension on January 13, 2024 with family and friends by her side. Susie was born Suzanne Marie Childers on October 15, 1962 in Bellflower, Los Angeles, California to Jack and Gloria Childers. Susie moved to Grand Junction Colorado in 1962 and graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1982. On May 15, 1982 she married Rusty Alan Liddicoat. Together they had three sons, Shawn, Cole, and Chase. Susie always dreamed of becoming a hairdresser, she attended beauty school and fulfilled her dream going on to own Cuttin’ Up beauty shop. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of her time hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, raising livestock, basking in the sun and beauty of the Grand Junction Valley. When she wasn’t outside, she was always reading a good book, watching classic movies, coloring, cooking, snuggling her pets and shopping (she always loved a bargain). Susie was known as the life of the party and her energy would overtake a room when she walked in. She loved her family and friends with all her heart and her door was always open. When you were at her house you never knew who would pop by for a visit. 

Susie is survived by her husband Rusty, three sons Shawn (Dani), Cole (Katrina), Chase (Cami), Stepfather Kenny and Brother Colin. She had seven grandchildren that she adored, Jaxyn, Asher, Jasper, Evelyn, Poppy, Ella and Caleb. She was preceded in death by her Mother Gloria, Father Jack and Brother Ricky. A celebration of life in honor of Susie and her mother Gloria Adamson (who passed one week before Susie) will be held on April 28, 2024 at the Redlands Community Center at 2pm.
