Talmadge Joel Anthony Jr. passed away at the VA hospital in Grand Junction Sunday, October 16, 2016.
Talmadge moved here as a young child where he lived all if his life. He spent 4 years in the Army where he served proudly from 1976-1980.
Talmadge was never married but had many, many friends and loved all children.
Talmadge is proceeded in death by his father Talmadge Anthony and mother Thelma Anthony and also his brother Donald and sister Linda. Also, his uncles Glen, Harry, Henry & Denis Butler. He is survived by his sister Teresa Ried of Grand Junction, Calvin Anthony of Grand Junction, Carolyn Anthony of Wichita Kansas, Leonard Anthony of Wichita, Kansas, Tammy Anthony of Phoenix, Arizona: Uncles, Richard Butler & Leslie Butler of Idaho and many nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews family and friends.
Talmadge loved hanging out at home with family and friends and walking.
He will be sorely missed
Talmadge received the Lord Jesus late in life but Calvin had the honor to pray with him. So we can all have peace in knowing he is running the streets of gold with the rest of the family who were saved.
Services will be held at The Voice in the Wilderness at 2992 N Ave. By pastor Bailey on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM and he will be laid to rest Friday, October 28, 2016 @ 10:00 AM @ The Veterans Cemetery with a 21 gun salute.
The family would like to say a special thanks to all the Doctors, nurses, housekeeping, food servers, and everyone who helped care for Talmadge at the VA hospital.
Your care and reverence for him did not go unnoticed. Thank you all so much
