He is survived by his wife Judy Petersen of Grand Junction, CO: 4 sons, Trent Ackerson of Gunnison, CO, Torrey Ackerson of Fort Collins, CO, James Barber of Windsor, CO, Joe Barber of San Juan Valley, Arizona, Mother Eleanora Ackerson of Brush, CO, Brothers, Wes Ackerson of Kaycee, Wyoming, Danny Ackerson of Seria Vista, Arizona; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
