God welcomed Thayne Harris Wright home on July 5, 2021. Thayne was born on the family farm near Ingalls, KS, where he attended school and graduated in 1953. He passed away at the Hope West Hospice in Grand Junction, CO.

Thayne was known as a hard-working, easy going, people person who loved to make people smile. He passed on to his sons his love of camping, fishing, and hunting. He enjoyed smoking various kinds of meats and sharing with family and friends.

Thayne held several jobs in the Southwest Kansas area including Sears salesman, Rainbow bread salesman, restaurant owner, mailman, volunteer EMT, and Haskell County Sheriff’s Deputy. He and Betty retired to Grand Junction, CO in 2009.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Marion Wright, sister, Aileen Salem, and wife, Betty. He is survived by his first wife, Anita, and their three sons, Beryl (Ruth), Doug (Nancy), and Michael (Kim); his brother, David Wright, sister, Colleen (Ray) Werner and brother in law, Otto Salem; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

There will be a private family service for the immediate family.
