Thelma Jean Van Hoose, age 79, passed, November 21st 2019.
Thelma was born May 14th, 1940 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado to Obie and Bertha Hinton.
Thelma attended Glenwood Springs High School and Mesa Junior College.
Thelma married Jack Van Hoose on September 12, 1962. Together they had two sons Jack and Daniel.
Thelma’s biggest passion in life was her family.
Thelma had a heart of gold and was extremely loving and caring. This was never more evident than when she became a Grandmother. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. Thelma was a very spiritual soul who loved to read and enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting. She was also most happy when she could sneak snacks to her little dog Odie. Thelma will be dearly missed by everyone she came in contact with.
Thelma was preceded in death by both her grandparents Walter and Mamie Senor. Her parents Obie and Bertha and her brother Carson Sefcik.
Thelma is survived by her husband Jack, sons Jack (Barbra) Van Hoose, Rio Rancho NM. Danny (Shelby) Van Hoose, Fruita CO. Four grandchildren, Zandria, Devin, Sheridan and Daniel. One great grandchild Dustin. Three sisters Joanne Rucker, OK , Aliece Lowe, MO, and Barbara Keen, AK.
Celebration of Life will be held at Browns Chapel. Tuesday November 26th at 1pm. 904 N 7th st, In Grand Junction.
Services have been entrusted to Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Services with Rev. Alane Currier Griggs speaking.
