Tim Patty
1956 –2024
Tim passed away at his home on August 4 after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Tim was born to James and Thelma Patty on August 16, 1956. He graduated from Fruita Monument High school in 1974 and he met Cindy in Grand Junction, CO. They married in 1987 and welcomed their treasured son, Bud on September 3, 1987.
Tim embarked on an extensive career with the City of Grand Junction that began in 1984. He started out as a surveyor, then inspector and finally a construction supervisor. He started the recycling program with the City of Grand Junction and he retired in 2023.
He was a devoted family man and particularly loved spending time with his son, Bud. They had many adventures together and loved to target practice with their pistols, go bird hunting and camping. They enjoyed spending time with their dog, Kooper. Both Tim and Bud were outdoor enthusiasts and enjoyed what the outdoors brought to them. Tim enjoyed golfing with his brother, Todd.
He and Cindy dedicated their time and love to raising Bud and enjoying their son.
Tim and his family loved gardening and they put countless hours into an otherwise unattractive property at City Shops, turning it into a lovely park, later named “Patty Park West” in 2010.
Tim was a skilled artist and made art from horseshoes and railroad spikes.
He will be missed by all of those who loved him.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Thelma Patty and survived by his wife Cindy, his son, Bud, and his brother Todd (Chris).
