Timothy Andrew (Tim, Timmy, Timmay, T, T-Dubs) Weston, 49, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019. He was born September 22, 1970, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Steve and Kathi Weston. He was a proud graduate from Arizona State University (GO DEVILS!) and began his career as a software developer/analyst in 1998. The most brilliant of minds, Tim received numerous awards in his career, most recently being MVP at Elire, Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
A loyal Arizona sports follower (not UofA!), he also loved fishing, golf, camping with the boys, and a nice cold beer. His dogs were his kids and anyone around him would laugh at his narrations. A friend to many, he was always able to make light-hearted of the most difficult situations and was able to make anyone around him laugh. He had a quick wit, used colorful language, and had a heart larger than life. He was generous with his time and very protective of those he loved. Although he hated to lose, he enjoyed playing cards and various games with family and friends, including the occasional trip to the casino. He loved to host for his friends and was an incredible cook. A huge movie buff, particularly anything with Paul Newman or Clint Eastwood, his quotable favorites were Blazing Saddles, Slap Shot, Young Frankenstein, Tombstone and Elf.
Most of us never understood the complexity of Tim's job. Some say he invented the internet, some say he worked in The Matrix, but what we do know is that he was responsible for coding systems that we all utilize daily including YUM! Foods (Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut), Cabela's, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Emory University, and many State and Federal Departments. Tim was a truly gifted programmer who could build detailed solutions based on high-level client concepts. He was one of the best in the world at what he did and no matter how difficult or challenging it was, you knew Tim’s project would be successful. Tim's talent also allowed him to break standard corporate dress code with him showing up to work in an ASU t-shirt and a Boston Red Sox hat, on backwards. To all at Elire Tim was more than a colleague, he was a true friend years before they were able to convince him to join Elire.
Tim was incredibly kind and generous and cared greatly about animals, education, and hunger relief. Tim and Courtney moved to Colorado in 2018 to expand a non-profit animal rescue that helps pets and their people in crisis situations. He worked hard, he played hard, and he loved hard.
He is predeceased by his father Steve, who passed in 2016. He is survived by his soul mate and love of his life Courtney McIntyre, his three furry kids Shilah, Merlin, and Winnie, mother Kathi, brother Steve, uncles, aunts, in-laws, cousins, niece, nephews, and many friends, all of whom he loved dearly and who loved him back. No services are scheduled at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held early next year.
If desired, donations may be made in his name to the charities he held dearest to his heart, Lost Our Home Pet Rescue of Western Colorado (www.LostOurHomeCO.org), or your local school lunch program or food bank to ensure no child goes hungry
