Todd Emerson

Todd Thomas Emerson, age 57, died Friday, February 14, 2020 from a sudden heart attack.

Born August 12, 1962 in Compton, California he was the son of Trudy San Paolo, Costa Mesa, California and the late Donald Toomey. Todd attended Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, California.

Todd had worked at a variety of jobs through his life and had been employed as a driver for FedEx for 20 years. His passion in life was music and he loved to play his guitars. He also enjoyed mountain bike riding. He was an accomplished photographer who combined his love for guitars with the beautiful scenery of the area to create amazing works of art. He also enjoyed camping and hiking with his wife Debbie and their dog Buddy. He was funny, witty, strong-willed, and intelligent. He truly was a unique individual who was committed to living life on his own terms. He accepted people for who they were and encouraged others to follow their dreams.

Here are a few things his long time friends have to say about him... “He was loyal, wicked smart, selfless and such an amazing guitar smoothness that was a pleasure to watch and impossible to copy.” Robert S. “You’ve touched so many of our hearts in your own special way. I will miss your humor, the sound of your voice, your wisdom, your patience, your knowledge, your kindness and understanding but most of all your friendship. I will never forget your gentle spirit, it’s been an honor and a privilege knowing you.” Vance V.

Todd is survived by his wife Debbie Emerson, Grand Junction, Colorado, his mother Trudy San Paolo, Costa Mesa, California and his sister Tiffanie San Paolo, Costa Mesa, California.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering on Saturday, March 14 from 11 am – 2 pm at the Valley Bible Church, 646 29 ½ Road, Grand Junction, Colorado.
