TOMAS (Tommy) MELICENDRO MADRID

Tommy’s true happy place was spending time with his family. Camping with Matt, Amber and his pride and joy, his grandson Alex. He was so proud of the Man that Matt had become but most of all that he is such a great husband and father. He would say that Amber was his daughter by law but mostly his daughter in his heart.  Miles apart could not lessen the bond he had with his daughter Britney.  She will forever be his baby girl.  When Brittney married the love of her life Marcus, Tommy, Gilbert and Gene traveled to Australia so Tommy could give his daughter away.  He told us that he didn’t think he could have given her away to anyone other than Marcus.  He knew she was so loved and that she would be safe with him and that he would take good care of his baby.  The pure love they all shared was a joy to see.

Tommy was always caring and compassionate. He was his mother’s guardian and care taker for many years. He was always there for his grand son Alex whenever he was needed, no questions asked. Tommy would always give and never receive. He would never complain, he was always happy to be around those that he loved.

He loved riding his Harley with his family and friends.

He was an incredible man who lived an incredible life. He will always be missed and never forgotten. Heaven has received an angel, we love you Tomas Madrid.

Born October 16, 1953 in Dragerton, Utah to Melicendro (Mike) Madrid and Merenciana (Mary) Martinez.

His son Matthew (Amber) Madrid and his pride and joy, his grandson Alex Madrid, of New Castle, CO

His daughter Brittney (Marcus) Madrid of Ballarat, Australia.

His brothers Gilbert Madrid of Price, UT. Robert (Sari) Madrid, East Carbon, UT. Cory (Molissa) Madrid Grand Junction, CO.

His Sisters Marcella (Bill) Haynie, Grand Junction, CO. Rita Martinez, Pineville, MO. Stella (Kenny) Kinsey, Magna, UT.

Many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Father Mike Madrid. Brothers Abel and Louie Madrid.
