Toni Lines

The world lost a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

On December 18, 2020, Toni Ann Lines went home to be with our Lord at the age of 67, in Grand Junction, Colorado.

She was born November 15, 1953, in Cortez, Colorado to Tony and Julia Borrego.

Toni was the youngest of six children.

She graduated from Montezuma High School in 1972, and attended CU Boulder. She worked as an administrative professional for many years until finding her passion for helping others. In 2005, she began her position as a Patient Care Coordinator at St. Mary's Hospital.

Toni was the beloved wife, and best friend of her one and only love of 22 years, Michael Lines. They married April 4, 1998, and together they raised two daughters.

Toni adored her family, friends, and especially her grandsons: Jaydin Nakamura, Claudio Austin, Esias Nakamura and Jerimiah Austin.

She revolved her life around her family and friends. She loved to joke, tell stories, but mostly help others. She was strong in her faith and served our Lord. She enjoyed gardening, road trips, hiking, and caring for her pets.

She will always be remembered for her pure heart and caring spirit. Her sweet face and giving nature will forever be missed.

Toni is survived by her husband, Michael Lines; daughters, Brandi (Josh) Nakamura-Gray and Kimi Austin. Her son-in-law whom she cherished, Jerry Austin.

"We will never be the same as we were before this loss, but we are ever so much better for having had something so great to lose."

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd at 6:00 p.m. with Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Both will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. A pot luck dinner will follow mass.
