Travis Sterling Wear

Travis Sterling Wear passed away peacefully at his home on November 12th. Travis was born October 23rd, 1974 in Glenwood Springs Colorado. He later moved as a young child to Clifton Colorado where he grew up. He attended Palisade High School and later went on to trade school and received a certificate in computer technology. He moved to Delta Colorado where he worked for Timberwolf Welding for many years as their project manager.  

Travis enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his family. He loved fishing, taking his son Jamyn and wife to concerts and amusement parks, and tinkering or fixing anything electronic. Over the years he developed a love for cooking and helping people when he could. Travis was an amazing man and anyone who met him instantly liked him. There wasn’t a person he didn’t make a friend out of.  

He is proceeded in death by his mother Katherine Wear, stepfather Robert Wear, grandparents Norbert and Josephine Smith, step grandparents Chuck and Ida Wear, and stepsister Vicki McCune.  

He is survived by his wife of 24 years Shelly Wear, son Jamyn (Bubba) Dupree and his wife Angie Laurence, his father and stepmother Chuck and Cory Arnett , brother and sister in law Steve and Laurie Wear, sister and brother in law Rebecca and Kenneth Marker, stepbrother Scott Wear, his Aunt Judy and Uncle Bob Gordon, his Uncle Jim and Aunt Wendy Smith, and many nieces and nephews with whom he adored.  

There will be a small service November 23rd at Clifton Christian Church located at 3241 F1/2 RD at 1:00 pm. Please use the South Parking Lot.
