Trudy Jean Dodson, age 70, passed away peacefully and went into the arms of our Lord on August 20, 2021.
She was born in San Jose, California to Gene and Barbara Carter. She was the oldest of four children. Trudy graduated from Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, CO; where she lived most of her life.
Trudy had worked as a dental assistant, receptionist for Phil Long Ford, a care coordinator for JVL Enterprises, and wore many “hats” at 7-Eleven.
Trudy moved to Grand Junction in 2012, where she enjoyed living in her assisted living facility with her many friends. She was a member of Pear Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, fishing, and camping, keeping up with family and friends online, her little dog Foxy, and spending countless hours attending The Junior College World Series baseball games every year.
Trudy had a very infectious smile and was always willing to help. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Tyler), son Robert (Jennifer), son William (Geraldine), siblings Norman (Tammy), Debby, and Patti (Rob). She adored her grandchildren Teague, Mika, Tristan, Marshall, Isiah, Genevieve, Myla, Sierra, and Xander. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Franklin Dodson. She will be greatly missed.
Her children would like to say a special “Thank You” to the care staff of The Retreat at Harbor Cove, St. May’s ER, and Wound & Ostomy Center as well as the 3rd Floor Cardiac Unit, your care has always been top notch.
