Trudy Maxine French

Trudy Maxine Pedersen-French age 76 passed away August 11, 2024 following a brief illness surrounded by her three daughters. 

Born March 26, 1948 in Durango Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Jens August Pedersen and Marianne Olive Taylor-Pedersen. 

 Trudy attended and graduated Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis Indiana, and received her bachelor’s degree at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado and a masters in the field of Museum Studies from George Washington University.  

 Trudy was employed in the Cardiac Unit as a telemetry technician for many years. In here later years she worked as a personal care giver and nanny.  

 Trudy enjoyed volunteering her time reading to children and as a tour guide at the Museum of Western Colorado. 

 She enjoyed traveling especially on her motorcycle, camping, music and spending time with her family and friends. 

 Trudy had a very quick and witty sense of humor. She had a great love for all animals. 

 Trudy was preceded in death by: her sister Marsha who died in infancy, her parents, her brothers Howard and Buddy, and her sister Lelia Kay.  

 Trudy is survived by: her daughters, Margo Mitchell (Doug), Shawn Karsten, and Danielle Wells (Mark), her sister Alice Rae Miller, and her brother Willam Van Pedersen, 10 grand children and 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 There will be no services held. 

 In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial contribution in Trudy’s name to Hope West Hospice-Mike and Kay Ferris Care Center, 3090 N. 12th Grand Junction, Colorado 81506.
