Vernon entered this world on December 6, 1958, at the doctor's office in Uravan, Colorado. He graduated from Nucla High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Food Service Specialist. Completed training at Ft. Knox and Ft. Lee, before being stationed at Ft. Benning. During his time at Ft. Benning, he met and married his wife Sandra, who was also a member of the U.S. Army. They were later transferred to Hanau Germany.
After serving in the Army, they settled in Grand Junction, Colorado. Vernon worked at Sam's Club for 30 years, retiring in 2021. Vernon enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. He has made many wedding and birthday cakes over the last 30 years. After retiring Vernon spent his time making Gnomes and spreading Joy.
Vernon loved to spend time with his grandson Collin who always called him "AwwPaw". They had a very special bond.
Vernon passed away on March 25, 2024, from complications of Glioblastoma brain cancer. He was survived by his wife of almost 40 years Sandra Cadman. His children Kaysee Cadman and Seth Cadman, his daughter-in-law Noelle Cadman, his grandson Collin Cadman, and his brothers Russ Cadman and Stan Cadman.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gayle and Clara Cadman, his brother LeRoy Cadman, and twin daughters Clarissa Cadman and Shanell Cadman.
Memorial services will be held at Canyon View Vineyard Chapel at 10 am on April 20th, 2024.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
