Viola Smith

Viola May Smith, born 10/31/1918 in Hoxie, KS to Charlie Wilson and Jessie Belle (Talkington) Wilson. Viola was one of eight children, 5 girls & 3 boys. She graduated from Craig High School with the Class of 1937. November 4, 1937, Viola wed Charles Delbert Smith in Craig, CO. Viola was preceded in death by all of her siblings and husband, Viola is survived by her children, Delbert L Smith (June) and Shirley G Blair (Jim). 7 grandchildren, 12 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren. C. D. Smith was employed by The Texas Co and during the next 40 years they lived and traveled the world over. Viola was an avid bridge player, loved crossword puzzles. She knitted, crocheted. She volunteered at the St. Mary's Gift Shop, the First Christian Church of Clifton in the food room for many years. Cremation has taken place, no services are planned at her request.
