Virgil Dennis Green was born in Pocatello, Idaho in 1941. He had three sisters who predeceased him. As a child, he enjoyed hunting rabbits in the surrounding hills with his cousin, Glenn. He entered the United States Air Force when he was seventeen years old and continued that career for the next twenty years. He completed three tours in Vietnam and at the time of his Air Force retirement, was a criminal investigator. Upon retiring from the Air Force, he went to work for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Phoenix, Arizona. He worked for the Sheriff’s office for over twenty-two years, retiring in 2000. He and his wife moved back to Idaho and it was there he found his forever home. Virgil “Precious” Green leaves behind a wife, five children, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was greatly admired and loved and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
