Wanda Elsberry

March 31, 1943 — February 20, 2022

Wanda was born to Ed and Izola McBride in Rifle, CO, the youngest of five siblings.  She grew up in Grand Junction where she graduated from Grand Junction High School, Class of 1961.  After graduation she attended beauty school, passed her State Board Exam and became a licensed Beautician.  Wanda worked in the Grand Valley before marrying her husband Bob, they were married for 53 years before his passing in 2018.  Together Wanda and Bob raised two children, Ron and Christi.

Wanda spent most of her time as a stay-at-home-mom, little league mom, classroom mom, and many other mom roles whenever duty called. In later years she worked at the Mt. Garfield Federal Credit Union at the VA hospital before retiring after 15 years of service.  She spent many years at baseball parks watching her kids and grandkids whom she loved so much.  Wanda loved all kinds of music which she passed on to both of her children.  She especially loved blaring Christmas music starting in October, if not earlier, every year.  She loved sewing and going to ceramics with her sister Deanie who was also her true best friend.  Her circle was small because she was a pretty shy and quiet person, but she loved everyone in it.

Wanda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ron & Kate Elsberry of Grand Junction; her daughter and son-in-law Christi & Kevin Frandsen of Grand Junction; grandchildren Ryan and Elisa Elsberry of Grand Junction and Daniel Frandsen (Megan) of Eagle Mtn, UT; great grandchildren Paisley & Raxton Elsberry and Aiden Frandsen; brother Jack McBride of Clifton, CO and sister Darlene Castonguay of Grand Junction; brother-in-law Jim (Eldora) of Grand Junction, and brother in law Bill (Paula) of Castle Rock, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Donnie and John.
