William Smith

William (Bill) Arthur Smith, 76, a former longtime resident of Las Cruces, NM and Santa Teresa, NM passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Grand Junction, CO. He is survived by his Brother, Richard Smith, Son, Ryan Smith, Step-Son, Colin McCall, and Ryan and Colin's Mother, Dora Marie Smith. Bill was born on September 21,1946 in Cleveland, Ohio but considered Roswell, NM his childhood home. There he spent his childhood developing a passion for horses and the Southwest. After serving honorably in the United States Army in the early 1970's, he returned to Clovis, NM and worked at the phone company for many years until pursuing Real Estate. A Real Estate Agent and Broker for 30+ years, Bill left a significant mark in New Mexico, and was heavily involved in the development of Santa Teresa throughout the 1980's. Bill moved to Colorado in 2020 to be close to his Son, and enjoyed fishing and helping others. He will be remembered as a loyal friend, loving Husband and Father. There will be no Memorial services.
