William Hall Jr., 66
William (Bill) Roland Hall Jr. age 66, peacefully passed away on August 12, 2016 at his home in Grand Jct., CO after the battle of lung cancer. He was born on May 11, 1950 to William R. Hall Sr. and Janet (Rebel) Hall in Telluride, CO.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Susan and two children: William R. Hall III of Grand Junction, CO and Brandie D. Hall of Arvada, CO. He also left behind two grandchildren, Brittney & Brandon Hall also from Arvada, CO. He is also survived by his four sisters: Beverly Martin of Rockville MD, Bonnie Schulz of Bishop, CA, Vicki Hayworth of Holyoak, CO, and Roxanne Tiller of Lamar, CO. and his four brothers: Russel Scharf of Cotapaxi, CO, Randy Scharf of Gilett, WY, Ernest Butler of Reno, Nv, , and Robert Hall of Westminster, CO, as well as many nieces and nephews and other family members.
Bill is a decorated veteran with full honors of the 101st Airborne of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals including two purple hearts, a Bronze Star, along with many others. He also received other commendations for his dedication and bravery. His discipline and patriotism he learned in the US Army never left him , old friends and family will attest.
Bill, in his early years worked in Uranium Mines with his father and uncle. He worked hard to support his family. He later owned a very successful construction company in Denver from which he retired from and moved to the Western Slope that he loved so much. He loved to go on trips, to play golf, fish, hunt, camp, tell stories, laugh, tell jokes, talk to anyone and offer honest advise on any subject. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
A very special thank you to everyone who knew and cared for him. Also, a huge thank you to Browns Cremation and Funeral Services for supporting and helping our family to put Bill to rest.
We will miss you dearly everyday in every way. May you rest in peace now, let us all take comfort in knowing you'r no longer in pain, you're with our Lord and Savior. Spread your wings and fly with the Angels Daddy, you have earned them..
Contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, and the Veterans' Association.
Funeral Services are on Friday, August 19th @ 10:00 am @The Veterans' Memorial Cemetery with full military honors to follow.
