William Samuel Hamilton

William S. Hamilton, age 68, died on April 10, 2023 in the Hope West Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, CO, following a battle with cancer.  Born on April 2, 1955, in Evanston, IL, he was the son of the late Samuel Hamilton and Anna Milello Hamilton.  Bill attended Gordon Tech High School in Chicago.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served as an MM2 for six years during the Viet Nam era followed by six years of service in the Air Force Reserves. 

Bill retired following his career as a Stationary Engineer where he primarily worked in multiple hospitals in IL and FL. Bill enjoyed outdoor activities and photography.  He loved to banter with others; he knew no strangers. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Greg (Renate) Hamilton.  He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Hamilton, son Jeremiah (Jennifer) Hamilton, daughter, Serena (Alex) Hamilton Kaplan, step-son, Robert Tyler, sister, Donna Hamilton, sister, Rose Hamilton, and granddaughters, Piper Hamilton, and Elizabeth Regan. 

Memorial services will be on April 28 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado at 10 am followed by a service at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Service at 11 am.
