William Schell

William Harvey Schell of Grand Junction, CO passed away Monday November 3, 2014 at the age of 75. Bill retired as a MSgt in the US Marine Corp after 22 years of service. He was a volunteer driver for the local VA hospital and he volunteered at numerous VFW and American Legion posts. He could be grumpy but he was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. He loved to hike and bike the beautiful trails around CO. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Kathryne Schell and his wife of 19 years Marlene Schell and leaves behind a brother Richard Schell of Box Elder, SD; Two daughters, Wendy Bowman of Harpers Ferry, WV; Laurie Heilman of Toms Brook, VA; Two Step daughters Margorie Havens of Victorville, CA and Natalie Patterson of Gold Beach, OR, and 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Bill accomplished everything on his bucket list except skydiving. His family will be scattering his ashes by plane over the Peyote Mountains in CA at a later date.
