On June 16th, 2017, Linda Lee Livingston, aged 60, died in her home, surrounded by loving family.
Linda was born June 8th, 1957 to Ethel Livingston and the late Dan Livingston of Grand Junction. She was valedictorian of the Paonia High School class of 1975, earned a Bachelor’s of Nursing from Mesa State, and finished her education with a Master’s in Nursing from the University of Colorado. She saw the country as a traveling nurse, served as the Health Nurse for Delta County, cared for patients at St. Mary’s Hospital, and finished her career with many years of service to our military veterans here at the VA Hospital, retiring as an administrator. She loved attending church, and cheered on the Mavericks at Mesa State basketball games.
Linda was a superb cook and loved preparing food for family and friends, along with feeding and watching the many birds who visited her at home. Her greatest pleasure was giving to others, and that is how she will be remembered by family and loved ones.
Linda is survived by her husband, Gaylon Reynolds, their daughter Serena, her mother Ethel Livingston, sister Susan Livingston Perkins and brother David Livingston, and extended family members all over western Colorado.
The funeral service will be Friday, June 23rd at 10 A.M. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
A luncheon reception will follow immediately after the service at Las Marias Mexican Restaurant, 118 S. 7th St. Grand Junction, CO
In lieu of flowers, donations are recommended to her favorite charity, Roice Hurst Humane Society.
