Peter Green

Peter Gerald Green, age 73, died Thursday, January 4, 2018 following a long illness of Lewy Body Dementia.
Born June 14, 1944 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, he was the son of the late Gerald and LaVerne Green.

Pete graduated from Avoha High school in Avoca, Iowa in 1962.
He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Viet Nam conflict.

Pete had retired from the Saguache County Road and Bridge Department in Saguache, Colorado where he was a mechanic and equipment operator. He also worked as a long haul truck driver for many years. He enjoyed Walleye fishing in Canada, boat fishing in lakes in Colorado, camping and RVing, state and federal park hosting, and house remodeling.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Harry.
Pete is survived by his wife, Susan, his sons, James of Council Bluffs, Iowa  and Mark (Carrie) of Fruita, CO, and his granddaughter, Kylee of Fruita, CO.

Memorial services will be at a later date.
