Ronald Januzzi

June 13, 1929 — March 6, 2018

Ronald Everett Januzzi, 88 yrs young, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2018 in Grand Junction, Co. He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Inez Januzzi and his sister, Thelma Seaman.

He was a renowned Mineralogist and dedicated his life in this field to research and the education of young and old alike. His specialty of study was the Tilly Foster Mine in Brewster, NY and Branchville Quarry in CT. Famous for the Dinosaur Gift and Mineral Shoppe/Dinosaurland in Brewster, NY, he enjoyed the bus loads of school children and visitors from across the country that came to learn about minerals and dinosaurs for over 30 years.  He had numerous publications on Mineralogy and made an  enormous contribution to this field. He is survived by his niece, Cindy Andrews of Rochester, NH and his nephew, William Dodge of Mountain Home, AR and many cousins. His humor and wit will be dearly missed by family and friends. Rest in peace, Uncle Ronnie!
