Ronald Smith

R. 'Kip' Smith September 27, 1942 -October 18, 2017.  Kip passed away after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer surrounded by family. He was a mechanic by trade for Union Oil Company of California and returned to school to become a top-notch Radiologic Tech. Kip was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He loved woodcarving, drawing, gardening, airplanes, arrowhead hunting, reading, and eating.  He was always the comedian. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Clifford 'Kip' Smith, Josephine 'Jo' Smith, his only sibling Richard 'Dick' Smith and his youngest son Matthew Kip Smith (Matt). Survivors include his wife Susan, his daughter Shelli Schenk of Payson, Utah, his sons Clint Smith of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Ryan Smith of Monticello, Utah, Stepchildren Patrick Coons, Janelle Blake, Tanya Coons, Valerie Boggs, and 24 grandchildren. We would  like to thank the caring staff at Hope West Hospice and Dr. Craig Hughes for their care of Kip. Graveside services will be held on Saturday November 4th in Monticello, Utah at 10:00a.m.
