Sandra Patterson

Sandra Jean "Sandy" Patterson age 70 passed away October 3, 2017, following a long battle with kidney disease.  Sandy was born June 22, 1947 in Craig, Colorado.  She was the eldest of four daughters of Leonard and Lois Jean Yoast.  Sandy graduated from Hayden High school in Hayden, Colorado in 1966. Sandy then went to X-Ray Technician school at Saint Mary's Hospital where she received her associates degree in 1968.  Sandy was proud to be a rancher’s wife and mother.  She also worked as an X-Ray Technician and worked in the back office nurse's station at the doctor's office till she retired in 2005.

Sandy was a very outgoing person even in her later years when she was in severe pain.  She loved fishing, camping and traveling.  Sandy was the kind of person that never complained even when she was in pain.  She was a devout Catholic and Sandy was a devoted wife and mother who always put her husband and daughters first.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Lois Jean Yoast and her brother-in-law  Dale Caster.  She is survived by her husband Tom Patterson, daughters Amie (Jerry) Westlake and Sara (Randy) Anderson.  Three grand- children Raymond and Anna Anderson and Tomas Westlake.  She is also survived by her three sisters Mary (Gary) Valora, Lois Caster and Mabel(Phil) Salazar.

The Funeral Mass will be held Monday,  October 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fruita, Colorado.  She will be laid to rest in the Hayden Cemetery in Hayden Colorado Wednesday,October 11, 2017 at 1 p.m.
