William Frost

November 6, 1926 — October 10, 2015

William C. Frost, 88 years old, passed away peacefully at Hope West Hospice on October 10, 2015. He was born November 6, 1926, in Lena, Nebraska, a small area in the Sandhills. He was the son of Edward C. Frost and nacy Ellen Haney. Bill grew up on a ranch, enjoying the cowboy way of life and the great outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol Hapgood Frost, and three children, William M. Frost (Lori), Edward B. Frost (Marquita) and Jacqueline Jean Morgan (Marty). Also surviving are five grandchildren, Jessica Rash, Christopher Frost, Tyler Frost, Brandon Frost And Kevin Frost and six great grandchildren. Also surviving is his step-son, William Lage, Step grandson, Logan Lage and great grandson, Andrew Lage. His brother-in-law James E. Hapgood of California, and sister in law, Doris Brown of Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #55 A.F. & A.M. Bill loved to travel and he and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada and mexico. He was a quiet man, always deep in thought and willing to help anyone in need. He lived in Alaska during the building of the Alaska pipeline. After moving to Grand Junction he was employed and retired from Rust Geotech Bill is predeceased in death by his parents, late wife Dorothy J. Snyder, a brother Edward and Stepdaughter, Laura. Services will be held at Brown’s Chapel, 904 N 7th Street on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 3:00 pm . Burial will take place on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO. Donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children at 2425 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA or Hope West Hospice Grand Junction, CO
