William Daniel Harlos passed away on March 17, 2018.
William (Bill) was born in Coldwater, Michigan on June 19, 1930 to William and Lydia Harlos.
Bill married his high school sweetheart Mae on August 19, 1951. Together they had three children.
William enlisted in the US Navy in 1950. He served on the USS Bang submarine as a sonar technician. He was honorably discharged in 1955.
Bill's life's work was based in electronics with an emphasis in Quality Control. His career afforded
him opportunities in Michigan, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico and California until his retirement.
William was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.
He had many interests throughout his life. He was a member of the American Legion Zouave drill team. He loved NASCAR and collecting Hot Wheels cars. He enjoyed plants and gardening. Bill also enjoyed music especially blues and jazz. He was very artistic excelling in clay sculpture, woodcarving and painting.
After retirement Bill spent many hours volunteering. While living in New Mexico he volunteered at the Albuquerque Zoo and Aquarium. In Colorado he volunteered at the Gateway Car museum, Allen Unique Autos, Grand Junction Visitor Center, the Museum of Western Colorado and Cross Orchards.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Mae and his parents William and Lydia Harlos. He is survived by his daughter Jean Peters (Greg), sons Jeff (Dorothy) and Mark (Jacquie), sister-in-law Althea Casper (Bill), brother-in-law Galen Krisov (Chris), grandchildren Joshua Peters and Vanessa Harlos-Palmer, nieces Cindy Gehringer, Lisa Cranford and a nephew Ronald Viegelahn.
